Featherweight Service Clinic

If you own a Featherweight sewing machine you will want to join us!  In this 3 hour, hands-on clinic, Lloyd Askew will teach you how to disassemble the required parts to properly clean and lubricate your Featherweight sewing machine.  We review all the common problems that can occur, including tension and thread jams.

-motor lube
-contrasting colors of thrread for setting tension
-light colored fabric-scrap size
-Note pad and pen
*Motor/gear lube, oil and accessories will be available for purchase.


General Information and Policies:

In order to begin on time, students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to set up, and should come prepared with all supplies listed on the class supply list. 

Unless explicitly stated in the class description, lunch is not provided.  Please plan accordingly.  Classes 6 hours or longer will have a designated 45 minute lunch time break for instructor and students.  Refrigerator space is for studio use only.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Class sizes are limited and are filled on a first come, first served basis.  You can reserve your spot in person, online via the website, or by phone. A reservation will only be accepted when accompanied by full payment.  We will create a wait list in case of an opening due to a cancellation.

Class Registration Fee for this event is Final and Non-Refundable.

If The Sewing Escape™ cancels a class or workshop due to enrollment requirements, a full refund will be given.  You will be notified if this occurs. 

Instructor: Lloyd Askew
Instructor Bio: We would like to introduce you to a new instructor to The Sewing Escape! Meet Lloyd Askew. Lloyd is a popular vendor at Road to California. His knowledge about and access to selling Singer Featherweight Sewing Machines is incredible. For the past 25 years, Lloyd has been selling, repairing, and offering clinics to owners and quilt guilds on Singer Featherweight machines.
